Which shows to prove that the younger one starts in life, the earlier one reaches his goal.
There is no such thing as genius without anything behind it. The greatest genius are the hardest workers. For life is a little growing. One must pass the different stages of life. Most of us must start from a small beginning and grow steadily on. It is only in digging a well that one has to dig from the top and work towards the bottom.
Those who postpone their plans because they think they are still too young to plunge into the complicated business of life are mercifully wasting an unrecoverable commodity --- TIME. Time is gold and those who are earnestly struggling to go ahead know the import of this saying. No one is young enough to think seriously, plan seriously, work seriously to attain his goal. To cultivate a serious outlook in life is not for the old ones alone. It is for everyone everywhere who values his own self and his God-given time. Success mostly belongs to those who are wise enough to make the most out of their youth. To think that there is always time left to accomplish the big, great things one has been dreaming of is sheer stupidity. Yes, time does not exhaust its source, but we can never be sure that it will all be our for spending. Ours is a borrowed time. The Great Giver might claim us tomorrow, tonight, or at this hour. We never can tell, and death is the end of everything earthy.
Life is what we make it, goes the proverbial saying. And nothing is truer than these gem-filled words. The kind of life we will live and the degree of success we will attain in the future depends to a large extent upon the way we have used our early years. The fruits gathered in sunset of life are sowed in youth.
You could see Rizal learning to read at the age of three. Beethoven composing musical pieces at five. Plato devouring philosophical books at eight. And most of those men written in history took life seriously even before they reached their early teens.
Let me tell you why it pays to start early in life.
You will be making mistakes while you're still young. So you better go at life early to allow for such period of trial and error.
You would life to share with your parents the success they were unable to make for themselves. And the best moment to do this is to attain success early while they are still living. In this way, you can at least repay some of the sacrifices they have made for you.
Youth is the best capital to invest in what we endeavor to be. Your mind is still fresh and in good condition. Your body is at the morn of its strength; it is capable of enduring even the most strenuous work from which old age will shy away. You will have more chances to have a nicer place in the sun for it takes years of struggle and hard work before one reaches his goal.
I don't mean to deprive you of your liberty to enjoy the most of your youth. But I am just suggesting that you put aside a part of your time working seriously on what you want to be in later years. It is not wise to squander your time as if it is nobody's business. You will be the loser at the final counting.
After all, life is meant to be lived -- full and worthily.
